Initial Consultation

Dedicated to maximizing students’ educational opportunities, our offerings for freshman and sophomores focus on helping students to pursue, deepen, and expand their academic and extracurricular interests. Advisement is offered regarding ways to enhance the student’s profile during the intervening years, helping students to plan their high school coursework and extracurricular activities. At this important point in a student’s academic career, we encourage students to think about novel ways in which their extracurricular and academic interests can be applied to deepen or broaden their experience in these areas. Freshman and sophomore years are the time to establish a solid foundation in high school and our consultation can provide a valuable perspective at this important juncture. Additionally, an overview of the timeline and various steps involved in the college admissions process is introduced so that students and parents have an understanding of what to expect in the years to come.

For juniors and seniors, we provide guidance in analyzing the student’s interests and priorities in order to match the individual with a list of colleges and universities that are most compatible with his/her goals. A focused approach to navigating the various parts of the college admissions process is outlined and support is provided throughout. Our services bring individualized support and advice to students in a manner that will help them to increase their educational options. We will formulate a plan to either help that student maintain his current level of performance or improve his high school record. We will advise students as to how specific extracurricular pursuits may create unique opportunities for him or her in the college admissions process.

Final College Selection

Application Review Package
Our application review services are intended for seniors who know the schools to which they will apply, who have already completed a draft of the substantive parts of their college applications, and who would like to receive feedback on how to strengthen their application. In this review, we will identify any red flags or inconsistencies, review the student’s essays and “brag sheet," and generally help the student to present himself in the best possible light within the confines of the application. The application review includes a meeting with student and/or parents after consultant has read the application, and a set amount of follow-up support in the form of a meeting, email communication, or telephone communication.
